In 1485, D. Diego Clavero, artillery captain of the Catholic Monarchs, was granted, among other things, an estate of olive trees and vineyards located in the Vega of the Guadalcobacín River, in the municipality of the city. This area was part of the territory of the ancient Roman city of Acinipo (Ronda la Vieja) in the 1st century AD.

In 1767, one of his descendants, D. Antonio Clavero, when he was a councillor in the city of Ronda, asked for permission to build a mill where there were remains of an old building. He built a courtyard and a ship to carry out the milling work in that place.

Since then, the owners have continued to cultivate the olive groves and in recent years have recovered the tradition of extra virgin olive oil production. In addition to the conservation of this farmhouse, which has been restored as a hotel for your enjoyment.
